Position Summary:

This is a full-time tenure track faculty position with a primary responsibility of teaching, research, and service. Additional duties include student advising and service on department committees. Each member of the faculty has the duty to deliver instruction and maintain a learning environment that is student centered and consistent with the highest standards of the profession. The faculty assess student achievement consistent with professional standards and are responsible for maintaining the integrity of the curricula and its courses. Responsiveness to students is essential to creating a constructive learning environment and is expected of all faculty and instructors in the Social Work Department. Experience in teaching and conducting research is a plus.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Teaching load for a full time tenure track faculty is generally four courses per semester
• Faculty work load also includes research, creative activity, service, and professional development in the best interest of the students and community at large
• All faculty members are expected to assume student academic advisement responsibilities in addition to their regular teaching loads
• Other duties as assigned

Other:

This position is assigned to the MSW program. A minimum of two years' clinical practice in mental health at the MSW level is required. Research interest or clinical experience working in the area trauma is highly desired.
